Framers' Workshop first opened its doors on Washington Street in Brookline Village in 1976. Here at Framers’ Workshop you can do your own picture framing or have us do it for you. You can also simply purchase your materials to go.

CUSTOM ORDERS vs DIY ORDERS

Custom

If you’d like to leave your framing project in the hands of the professionals, we’ve had plenty of experience framing just about everything. Original art, textiles, maps, sports jerseys, wedding memorabilia, garden tools…. You’d have to try pretty hard to stump us. And just because it’s affordable doesn’t mean it’s low quality. We’ll do everything in our power to ensure that you’re happy with the finished product. Custom labor charges typically range from $40 to $60 per piece (in addition to materials.) If you have your order custom placed with us, it is usually about a 2 week turnaround time at the latest to get your piece finished.

DIY

Framing your own artwork is the easiest way to save time and money, and its fun! Walk away with framed art and new skills, all in the same day. We have a variety of frames and mats in stock that we can cut for you while you wait. We have 6 do-it-yourself workstations and a collective 100+ years of framing experience. The fee to use the shop is only $3, and we’ll help you with your project step-by-step. If you have a question or feel a bit confused —don’t panic— just ask! If you make a mistake, we’ll correct it to the best of our ability. The whole process usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour per piece and be aware that we stop cutting DIY materials 90 minutes before closing time.
